Hi,

Earlier today I was at a festival and the police found some drugs on me and charged me of 2 offences : possession of a prohibited drug (0.4 ecstasy) and possession of a prohibited drug (1.0 cannabis), they set up a court date for March 22nd (11 days from now) and I really don't know what I should do or what will happen to my visa. Will the court cancel my visa and ban me from Australia? please help me understand what to do.
I am currently on a student visa subclass 500 and it expires February 2018, but I'm only planning to stay in Australia until the end of this semester.

thank you,
Einat

See a solicitor fast, you may be able to save your years fees and a conviction by leaving for home now.

Hey citizen Joe,

thank you so much for replying.
What do you mean when you say i may be able to save my years fees? and why should I be leaving home? is that legal?
I've only been in Australia for 3 weeks now, so I don't really know anything - if you can recommend a good solicitor (and cheap:/) I would really appreciate it!

thank you,
Einat
