Hi all,

Is there anything I can do about the fact that my ex partners solicitor called me an a**hole in an email which was wrongly forwarded to me?

Thanks

You could publish it to show what sort of person he is, however by doing so you could run the risk of having people believing what he said.

You can make a complaint to the Legal Practice Board (each state has their own equivalent) concerning the lawyers comments.

Thanks. the comment was made in regards to me having my kids during my designated time over the summer holidays and taking them away and my ex wanting them for 1 day during that period to take them to a family friends wedding. I couldnt bring them back for one day whilst away, and was called an a**hole for it by the solicitor. I wouldnt have any objection to publishing the email trail either but will make a complaint to the Legal Practise Board. Thanks for the assistance.

I'd email the thing back to the solicitor, and include a stern word of warning about professionalism and ask for an apology....
Actually, I probably would not, sadly, we live in a culture where such language is not inherently offensive. Magistrates now rarely charge anyone for offensive langauge, despite the fact that the law states it is an offence
