Ah well I'm converting my warehouse into a 'hangout' place for me and some mates to watch movies on my projector, use the pool table ect. And one of the other tennants (its like a 6 unit building) randomly comes up to us and goes on about it being illegal and we have to leave. There is nothing in the title deed to prevent it and we dont have any strata rules as far as I'm aware. I just wanted to know before i sank any more money into the project what the deal was. Thanks.
I' in NSW, not sure about approved use, how do i find that out?
Contact the Council. Some Councils have some site history available online. A notice of determination (i.e the consent for development) is a public register and the Council must make it available.
Let me know if you have any more questions.
Your local Council or their website should be able to provide you with the rules for your zone. Ignoring this guy may not work as it sounds like he might dob you in to the Council. If I were you I would remove all evidence that you have been sleeping there as the Council may inspect if this guy complains.
