Good morning,

I'm wanting to publish a small booklet locally on a local history mystery. Not making my fortune off it, just getting the info I've found out there at cost recovery. Expect a few sales and also some deposits in local libraries etc. Hopefully local media might report on it too.

To make the case, I will be using some material that has been published, but also will be using some locals private photos that I have been given.

Do I need to get copyright / permission etc. and if so, is there any standard form I should use?

I am not anticipating any real problems but I do want to make sure no-one turns round later and accuses me of 'stealing' or misusing the photos. Giving me a copy for research is not the same obviously as publishing, so I want to be sure I'm in the clear.
