We have heard they have outside investigators. But no one has asked my hubby anything. We have to wait till investigation is over then they will invite him and his union rep to meeting. The vice president has been into the office and they have been threw his work computor and changed passwords and we are not sure if the union want to go further or not. A lot of people are saying that they have been told that he left. Certain people at club have been on and off the board for over 2 years and they know they cant sack him as he has done nothing wrong but this escalated to this after Geoff asked a staff member what had happened on his day off. She is related to a board member. Can we take it further than Fair work. Thanx
Have documented about 8 pages since Oct. 2015. Union says it is hard to prove that he has been bullied. Fairwork not involved yet. Investigation is over but have been informed that they are now trying to get him on taking money. He has to front the board on 5th April with union rep but it is the 3 or 4 members of the board that have been causing all this. They arent even informing the other directors as to what is being done. The members of the club are disgusted but trying to get a resolution worded so that they can get a vote of no confidence in the board is very hard, No problems getting the signatures for the vote but just hard to word a resolution as we live in outback nsw (Bourke). It is very frustrating as this is all over town. The good thing is nobody believes it but these 4 board members dont care.
Well guys husband has no job now as they widened the investigation and came up with a mistake he made in paperwork and a lot of trivial little things. He was called to meeting and was given 4 weeks severance pay plus 4 weeks holiday pay which was owing. The union guy said that it would just keep going round in circles so husband decided to take what was offered and they made him sign a Deed of Release. So cant do anything else now. He has since applied for another job and got to final 4 and then all a sudden the other employer doesnt want to talk to him or return phone calls. Starting to think that other employer has rang and spoken to someone at the club. But cant prove it. This has all been done by 4 Board members and other members have been told that it is nothing to do with them till it is finished. 2 of these Board members have partners that were involved with the original complaints and they have been involved with all this and have not declared an interest at any board meetings. It is going to be interesting to see if it all gets ratified at the next meeting. From what we have heard it may not get ratified. Dont know what happens then. Thanx for advice.
Hey guys. We have now moved back to live with Geoffs mum. We are finding out little bits and pieces that are coming out about what happened. People are saying that they were used to get rid of Geoff. I know it is too late for FWA but can we go to anti discrimation as they got rid of him because they didnt like him. They tried to get assistant manger to complain about his management but she wouldnt. Thanx
