So, I think it might be that the law on this issue is quite a lot of common law...which means it's actually defined by precedent... You know, previous court decisions.
And your rights will depend on who has done what, and what evidence you have, and it will be hard for anyone to answer without a really thorough briefing.
You should phone around some solicitors, some give you a free half hour.
This is pretty much the limit of my knowledge.
