Hi, I have been named as a joint executor of my mothers will. She died in NZ and my brother and sister are the other 2 executors. I haven't spoken to my brother in 10 years and he lives in NZ. My sister has gone over there for 2 weeks and has called me today saying I need to renounce my executor rights as it is all too hard and will take months for the paperwork to go between NZ and Australia. I feel like I should perform my duty as executor because that is what my mother wanted, and also the fact we don't all exactly get along. Is this reasonable or should I just waive my executor duties?
