My (non biological) grandfather recently passed away.
I am the only family member he had had any contact with in years.
Many years ago he wrote a will leaving everything to his 3 daughters whom he had not seen in around 40yrs. We are having no luck in finding them as they have all married since then (and at least 1 has passed away. the solicitor is about to advertise in the local papers to find them but i have already tried with no luck. can anyone tell me what happens if they are not found.
my first hope is they find them as this is what he wanted.
But if they are not found, what are my rights, I would like to think i have more legal right than the second option be a random charity or government fund.
