When you join a company as an employee you sign a contract of employment. If you are in breach of this contract the employer has a right to cancel your employment. What rights do an employee have in regard to expected employer treatment? I moved from UK to Australia on a subclass 457 visa sponsored by a world famous company. On arrival I found my induction to be almost non existant and my line manager not interested in my worries.I eventually resigned and returned to UK. The company are now chasing for cost of moving me out as per their contract. I feel the company did nothing to resolve the situation and were in breach of providing adequate training to a new employee.
