Hi. A nature strip is the local Council's property. As such, driving and/or parking on it can invoke a fine for doing so. If you were driving a heavy vehicle at the time of the offence and there were extenuating circumstances, such as not being able to manouvre the heavy vehicle without being on the nature strip because of the way the road is designed, then you would need to bring this up in court. If you were driving on the nature strip for no reason at all or it was just a mistake or lapse in judgement, then you will more than likely have to pay the fine. Any points you have accrued because of the offence, you will need to speak to your state roads and traffic authority and discuss this with them about which license to allocate them to. Hope this helps.
