I have a question please relating to my employment.

I was employed as a project manager predominantly in IT projects when my new boss of 3 months asked me to write an operations manual for another group that I had no knowledge of and no experience when I suggested this and recommended they get in a professional in that area I was advised by my boss that I had no choice and that her boss had agreed with her that this is where the business needed me and I was required to go and just learn on the job. I decided to go not to make waves but the whole experience ended up a disaster and I am currently on sick leave.

Can I take my boss and her manager to court for diiscrimination for being forced to do a job that I was not trained for nor was this part of my intended career path?
