When a super company recieves a claim for a death benefit (super and life insurance) how long can it reasonably take for them to contact the lawyer acting on behalf of the two non-dependent only beneficiaries(adult children)? Also if there are no binding nominations on the super and insurance, and there are no dependents, can the super company withhold the pay out to non-dependent adult children? as i understand the super trustees decide who recieves the benefits, and if they did not wish not pay to us, then they could pay it into the estate. It has been several months and haven't heard any news from lawyer or super company
