Hello !

So, there was a solicitor (contractor/ staff) in a community legal service that acted for certain period of time as legal representative and adviser for some clients in a dispute, into an area that was clearly marked as - non-provision of legal advise area list of the community legal service. He used the facilities to meet the other party involved in dispute, he also used the corporation logo in his correspondence with other party. Over long period of time, the solicitor transferred these particular file and the clients to his own practice and advise his clients to ask to solve the dispute by asking financial compensations for the period when acted under community legal service.
As a contractor/staff of the community legal service the solicitor should not respect the activity policy and area of activity of the community legal service? Is this not a breach? Is it not a conflict of interest between the legal practitioner profession and his contract as staff of the community legal service?
