I was offered a contract to start 3 jan 2018. This was signed by myself but the opening of the business was postponed so never started within the office. However during the 4 months leading up to the opening I completed various work for the business around my full time job, setting up marketing, decorating the office, painting the office, website creation, social media etc . One Week before opening the business has said they can’t afford to employ me anymore and the position is terminated. Do I have grounds to ask for compensation for all of the work i did?
