Ok so a solicitor is likely to be worth the $$.
Some good news, convictions that are more than 10 years old can be given less weight. The magistrate is likely to be informed of their existence... But will be less interested than the more recent.. So the longer the time between offences matters.
Not legal advice - get a bike.. you're gonna need transport... BUT exercise will fix you. Mate I went through a horrible marriage break up. I was drinking and smoking and generally just not doing well... I got on a bike, went for a long ride... HOURS - but for the first time in months I slept... I was already emotionally exhausted, but once I made myself physically exhausted, I slept and once I started getting the sleep patters sorted and eating right, the rest of the worlds problems felt more manageable.
As you must be aware that drink driving is one of the most serious traffic offences a person can find themselves charged with. Further, the length of disqualification and penalty depends largely on the BAC. The penalties and the disqualification time increase If there are previous convictions.
We understand that getting charged with high range PCA can be a stressful experience. Given the prior convictions and high range reading, we recommend you to have legal representation to allow you to best prepare for the case and through legal representation, your personal circumstances can be best communicated to the Magistrate to increase the chance of you receiving the lowest possible penalty.
