There are a lot of things you can look at - prenuptial agreement (which of course requires your partners consent) and or even a post-nuptial agreement. You should also look at whose name is going down into the deed in terms of actual legal rights to the house and all that. I do think that you should have a good discussion so that there will be a clear understanding between yourself and your partner should anything happen. Heaven forbid it get messy and ugly with an unexpected surprise if something does happen later on!
