0.05 is PCA, not DUI. I don't know how it works in the other states, but here in WA, they're treated as a separate offense.
For instance, if you have a previous 0.05 and you get charged with a 0.08 offense, that 0.08 offense is considered to be a first offense, because it's a different charge.
In WA, first offense 0.05 carries no suspension, a $100 fine and 4 demerits.
Martin, I've had a look at this page - http://www.proctorlaw.com.au/drink-driving/dui-penalties.pdf. Looking at it low range PCA 2nd offence max penalty is $2200 12mths loss of licence. Further down unlicenced driver 2nd offence is max $3300. In court would they mostly likely be seperate fines or one amount as a whole?
