INFORMATION ON ASBESTOS AND PERSONAL INJURY IN NSW
The Legal Profession Amendment (Advertising) Regulation 2005 and the Workers
Compensation Amendment (Advertising) Regulation 2005 were gazetted on 15 June
2005 and will commence on 1 July 2005.
The Regulations modify existing restrictions on lawyers’ advertising of
personal injury and work injury services in NSW and impose new restrictions on
advertising through the agency of a person who is not a barrister or solicitor
(including arrangements where the barrister or solicitor obtains referrals as a
result of the non lawyer’s advertising). The Regulations also introduce new
restrictions on non lawyers’ advertising of personal injury and work injury
services in NSW.
As a result of the above changes, we regret that AussieLegal is not permitted

personal injury including asbestos diseases or work injuries.
