BEQUESTS IN YOUR WILL
A gift left in your Will is known as a Bequest or Legacy.
Bequest income is one of the most significant sources of funding for
charities, including the Asthma Foundation NSW. We rely heavily on donations and
bequests from our supporters to continue to fund vital research and provide
community support to those living with asthma.
A Will is a legal document that determines how your assets will be
distributed after your death. If you do not have a Will you lose the right to
choose what happens to your assets.
Preparing your Will is one of the most important and personal choices that
you will ever make. By planning your Will, you will be communicating your love
for your family, friends and any organisation or cause that means a lot to you.
After providing for your family, please consider a gift to Asthma Foundation NSW
to ensure that the 2.2 million Australians will continue to breathe freely, well
into the future.
We encourage you to discuss your estate plans with your family and would be
delighted to include your family in the decision to leave a gift to the Asthma
Foundation NSW.
We recommend that you seek professional advice to ensure that your wishes are
expressed correctly. We give no preference to any particular companies however
we do have a list of reputable agencies if you would like to take advantage of
this.
If you do choose to write your own Will, we recommend you contact Aussie
Legal and use their comprehensive Write Your Own Legal Will Kit.
We appreciate our valued supporters as we would not be able to continue our
important work without you. That is why we are happy to help in any way we can.
We have a Wills Checklist available free of charge.

It is your choice entirely whether you would like to tell us about your
bequest. However, if you do choose to let us know it will help us plan for the
future. In the case of property, if you inform us of your intentions we can
ensure that we carry out your wishes.
