Hi,
Situation...
I use a barrister to help draw up an agreement for me in a mediation process. They explain everything to me. I am happy. All is good. It goes off to court to be signed off on...

later...
I am told(by my solicitor) that the agreement the barrister drew up is not going to work in my favor, and the outcome is totally inadequate and puts me in a bad financial situation.

The wording in the agreement is legal jargon, which can be interpreted in a way I did not understand and has been interrupted in a way that does not act in the way explained to me at the time.

The outcome is that I am now put at risk because of the interpretation of the document according to my solicitor. I am in a much worse position then before the mediation. My solicitor is now giving me advice to do some things that are not in my interest to get out of the problems it has caused.

I am saying it is not my fault.. It is falling on deaf ears with my solicitor..
What does one do in this situation of being screwed by the legal profession.

You have received advice from one legal professional that the agreement works one way and advice from another that says it works a different way.

Might help us if you tell us what this is all about.
I am NOT a lawyer. Anything said is NOT legal advice.

Please post your legal questions in a forum rather than sending a PM. Thanks.
