QuoteReplyTopic: Teacher Responsible for Information they give? Posted: 30/June/2009 at 10:14
The issue is not that you have been disadvantaged but that other students may have had an advantage. Therefore, I cannot see how the teacher has been negligent.
I am concerned whether a university teacher breaches negligence if they provide false information about exams.
In my case, the teacher said programmable calculators were prohibited from the exam, and if they were brought, they will be removed from their owners until after the exam has finished. With this in mind, the teacher went on to allow students to use those calculators if they brought them. I believe I have been disadvantaged by this as the teacher told us to buy stantard calculators and use them, and I did this.
Edited:
As the teachers for my law topics appear to avoid providing any information whatsoever about exams (including the date and time), I was thinking that they were trying to avoid liability or accountability for it.
