Hi,I have just read the forums regarding having a visa aproved,
I visited my lady friend in china in April 2009,we spent nearly a month together where she showed me all the sites in her area of China, in brief I was looked after very well.
We are now trying to get a visa for my lady friend to visit me hear in Australia,we have looked on web sites also I have called the imigration dept hear in OZ but I do not seem to be getting anywhere,I have just sent an email to the Guangzhou visa department asking how do we go about getting my lady friend a visa to visit Australia, also asking what we need to fill out in documents and what costs are involved.
If anyone can help or guide us with this we would be very gratefull.
Cam.
Hi Cam, The Visa types on this forum are either spouse or prospective marriage visas, if you are just after a visa for a holiday visit you might find it quite difficult,Immigration are very tough on Chinese people for tourist Visas, if you are travelling with a group tour its easy but on a personal visit its going to be hard for you.If you plan to marry this girl I would suggest to go the Prospective Marriage Visa subclass 300, its a 9 month visa but for her to remain in Australia you must marry, you will have to prove to the department that your relationship is genuine, it is a paper chase to get all relevant evedence, but if you are thourough you will be ok. All info is available on the web, www.immi.gov.au. Good luck to you both.
Hi Bryan, I went straight over to Guangzhou the next day and we both arrived back on the 17th of August, it was the best trip I have ever been on. We are getting married in November then we can apply for the spouse visa, which I think will be straight forward. Glad to hear everything is good at your end, keep in touch.
Hi there mate sorry I have not been around, been busy with work.
Having a few problems with Chinese culture just wondering if you or anyone else has had the same?
I smoke and like a beer but my wife has started to complain about it and a few other things. I smoked in Nanning and had a beer each night so dont see the issue really, she knew. I shouldnt smoke I agree but such is life I have tried to give up but end up smoking again.
She is also on my back that I dont eat enough veg and I do and I eat to much meat. This has all come about in the past few weeks??
Is it because she misses home ??
I am a normal Aussie.
I find also and I know this is culture she will refuse to buy the good cuts of meat or chicken and refuses to eat anything while we are out and about. We had a bit of a spat because I wanted to eat at a good hotel last weekend and it blew me away, she refused because the $25 was to much hahaha.
I worry a great deal that she is bored as she has no friends other than the ones at English school and I run my own business so cant spend as much time as I can with her. I take her out sight seeing as often as I can but she wont go out if the sun is to strong, she says she will go black so let us stay home ????
Her daughter and her fight like cats and dogs and even have punchups !!! it was quite scary the first time.
I am at a bit of a loss as to how I deal with things and if I get between her daughter and her I get it from her.
I am not permitted to give the kid money and the mother wont let her on QQ to talk to her friends in China.
hahaha so I am a bad man who smokes likes a beer and eats meat and wastes money
