I currently hold an Australian PR obtained in Dec 2006. I was sent on a 3 year work contract in NZ by the Australian company I've been working for. I've thus been living in NZ for the past 15 months since Nov 07.

I understand that, given that I obtained my PR before July 07, I have to have lived in Australia for 2 years as a PR before I can apply for citizenship. This is obviously not the case with my situation but, given that I was sent to NZ for business reason by an australian company, am I still eligible for citizenship?

Thanks for all your help!
