Building house with dodgy builder
Topic: Building house with dodgy builder

I'm desperate for some help or guidance, i engaged a builder to build my house in February 2018. The contract states the building would be finished now however the building is no where near finished and i have found out through the tradesman that things are not going well with the builder.
Builder has failed to pay the tradesman and as a result, i have no kitchen, no floors, no doors, no tiles, no bathrooms, no front yard or rear yard, no swimming pool and more.
Tradesman tell me he has no money and wont pay them.
As a result im out of pocket and i dont have a house to move into.
I'll have to rent something out in the interim.
can someone help with issuing a breach notice and sacking this builder?
thanks in advance

See your solicitor, this builder may be going broke, if the contract was properly written there should be insurance to cover any losses you incur and should allow the appropriate organisation in your state to appoint another builder to finish the job. See a solicitor promptly to take appropriate action for you.
