If your Employment contract mentions that you are contracted to work X amount of hours every week then you should continue to be given those hours by your Employer - if not- talk to FairWork.
Check your employment contract. If your employment contract states that you are only part-time/casual ( witout guaranteed number of hours per week ), then you are out of luck. |

Hello I was hoping someone could help regarding loss of contracted hours at short notice
I received my roster this week and found that my Sunday shift has been taken from me to accommodate a new staff member. I have had this shift for nearly 3 years. As I am only part time losing this shift will send me into financial hardship I have spoken to my supervisor who has informed me that with the implement of new staff there may be more roster changes. I am a care worker in the community and have only ever had this roster for 1 client while I have watched new staff come on board and be given close to full time work. this is making me ill I have not slept since receiving this roster and now need to take tomorrow off as it will not be safe for me to drive any information regarding this is appreciated |
