can I purchase property in smsf and rent to my daughter and her boyfriend with a proper rental agreement ?
I want the agreement to be an open ended rent to buy so that if they want to buy the property at some stage from me they can. Is that allowed in smsf?

No you definitely cannot do this. There are strict rules about rental of SMSF property and stiff penalties for non-compliance. If you already have an SMSF you should know this.

If you are thinking of setting up an SMSF you need to be very clear about the rules. Consult the ATO website and an accountant.
