I was wondering about the fencing laws in Brisbane, I know it common courtesy to inform a neighbor of any building project such as constructing a new fence on my side of the property. Can this be form of verbal as the fencing meet all requirement by city council as is going to be DIY job so. Any suggestion or precaution?

Qld Govt has fencing laws, not sure now what they're called but if you follow them, you shouldn't go too far wrong. You need to give 1 month's written notice to get neighbour to pay half. AFAIK if you are DIY and you don't want them to contribute half *and* if it is not going cause an altercation with your neighbour, you probably don't need to do anything.
BUT and that is a big BUT
you also would be best off putting it in writing because you don't want to get in a situation where you do the work, then they take you to QCAT and you get an order to remove the fence you just built and pay good money to put up another one. That's why you use the official process, instead of short cutting.
