    Posted: 18/March/2015 at 13:41

Just wanting to ask about my 457 visa. It is due to expire on June this year and my employer is currently working on the nomination. I was employed by them 3 yrs ago and was told that nomination expires every year so they need to apply for one again for me.

The plan was to apply for 186 (employer nomination) however I won't have enough funding to pay for this visa even if that is not until June. The visa application will cost me over $7000 including medical tests, english test and other documents required.

My question is, the nomination number that I can get from my employer, can I use this number to apply for renewal of 457 visa since this would cost me less and use the same number 3 months after when I do have enough money to pay for the permanent visa?

Thank you.
