I was wondering about Equitable Tracing...after reading about it in Jacobs law of Trusts...

Hypothetically speaking, if a beneficiary is unable to get a straight answer out of the trustee in regards to the whereabouts of the trust assets, and whether or not they have been converted or not, or to whose hands it has gone, or even if any proceeds have been made..it seems after reading Jacobs Law on Trusts, that tracing is the relief to be sought...if this is the case, will the court if it sees fit, hire an expert or some firm to do the tracing on the beneficiaries behalf?

I don't think the court will do anything, but it is possible that one of the parties to the action may do something and present details of what was uncovered to some subsequent hearing.
I am NOT a lawyer. Anything said is NOT legal advice.

Please post your legal questions in a forum rather than sending a PM. Thanks.
