Does anyone know if there is a database/register of cases tried in Queensland's magistrates/District courts publicly available that can be searched to find past cases?

Any help would be appreciated.

Magistrates court cases not reported. But many District, most Supreme and all High Court cases can be found on the austlii databases. Not just for Qld, but all states, territories and plenty of NZ cases too.

Depends what you're looking for and exactly which keywords you enter. It can be an exercise in frustration so do be patient. There may not be many precedents in Qld that exactly apply so don't just limit to Qld unless it's a specific piece of Qld legislation you are interested in - if it's a crim code violation then also look at WA which has a very similar Griffiths based crim code too - some sections almost identical but the numbers are different. Go to: "austlii" and have a browse. Good luck.

I prefer Lexus but I think that costs.

Magistrates Courts are unreported in general.
