can a grandmother use a grandchild's photo as her profile pic, without the primary care givers permission? we understand that gorgeous cherub will be on her wall etc, but not happy bubs out there for all to see when grandmothers name is searched for on facebook. is there anything we can do to ensure bub has more privacy? we make sure OUR privacy settings are very high. bub is twelve months old.

Sorry but if you make a song and dance about this you will bring publicity to the matter, which is what I assume you wish to avoid.

Grandmother is obviously very proud of the child, but if you are unhappy about the use of the photo in such a way, a pleasant request to her to not use it may work, but going all legal is sure to have the opposite effect.
I am NOT a lawyer. Anything said is NOT legal advice.

Please post your legal questions in a forum rather than sending a PM. Thanks.

You could report it to FB. I think FB has some rules (I'm too lazy to look up their T&C) about picture use. There's usually a report link somewhere.

You forgot the I on FB AOD. Report it to the FBI, NSA and OSI. Demand satisfaction. Try and have nanna jailed for whatever you can dream up. Some US litigators might be able to help you out. Don't listen to what anyone else says here. So what if nan is proud of her grand bub. At the very least, make sure you write her out of your will and take her off your Christmas card list.

I'm exhausted, where's that bottle of Pennys 707?
