Permanent Residency & Divorce

I have seen several questions in this forum along my line of inquiry but not exactly describing my circumstances (or somewhat dated), so I want to ask your advice.
I am a new resident in Australia with a Permanent Residency visa. I am originally from the UK.
I gained residency as I am married to my wife and we applied under the points system as her vocation is on the needed skills list. I did not have to do anything other than prove our marriage.
Unfortunately, I believe my marriage is now breaking down.
If we divorce, will it affect my residency status? It was my wife who scored the points, not I. Australia is my love, my true home now. I would be utterly devastated if we got divorced and I had to leave because it was my wife who applied and I only "got in" because I was married.
