Hi all

I have been living with my partner 6 months and need to apply for defacto. Has anyone been granted a visa before the 12 months rule or know how easy it is?

I am in the same situation, my partner and i have been together 10 months and his visa is about to expire. We have registered to marry but i dont know that that helps? There is not that much advise on the net and the advice that is available is so expensive.

Was in this situation and unless you marry the 12 month rule will not be waived, were told that unless you get married your partner will have to leave.
