I'm wondering if you could advise. My child spends about 20 days a year with a dad who lives in uk.

He is proposing that he can include the full cost of his rent (amount other things) as contributing to the cost of his contact with his child. He pays rent for a 3 bedroom house where he lives alone unless having his child visit.

Can you please indicate if this is correct? I thought he could include travel costs (eg flight to Australia) and accomodation (if he visited Australia to see his child), while he cannot include his own rent in the uk, or expenses such as food, holiday rental (away from home in the uk) and entertainment.

Thanks in advance

no chance - I'll try and find a link to the CSA website.... Maybe if he claimed under the English system? but I have no idea about their system.

Yep - no chance, He has the child for only 20 days which is well below the threshold of where his rent /travel expenses etc... may be considered
