I need advice on what action needs to be taken on bank providing false information which impacted me. Here is what happened
I am having a credit card which was not used for long time and i planned for overseas trip to thought of using this card, before leaving i tried to do some shopping and use this card but transaction got declined so called up customer care and they said not a problem bla bla blah .. its not unblocked and ready to use.
When i tried to pay security bond on vehicle rentals overseas it got declined and had to do lot of hassle and manage all the expenses there and gone through lots of stress wasting lot of time.
I have also raised this in FOS and not sure what kind of compensation should i ask for.
Please advice Thanks in advance

Not possible to answer your question without more information. For a start why was it blocked? Why was it unused for such a long period? Had you paid the annual fee on the card for all the time that it was unused? When advised that it was unblocked did you try it before you left for overseas?
