If you are under a financial and legal vcat administrator can you engage an independent solicitor to adjourn an upcoming hearing. I am the current administrator and have resigned and the hearing for a new administrator is set for today. My brother has now engaged a solicitor to adjourn the hearing - the solicitor spoke to me last week and agreed the hearing would go ahead - my brother infiormed me last night the are going to adjourn it this morning. I don't want to do it anymore as it's become too stressful- what are my legal rights here? The solicitor also asked me not to provide any of my 'damaging' reports to vcat
