Hello there, hoping for some insight..

I believe I have been scammed to bank roll a new venture and now that the doors are open my business partner (lets call her psycho!!) has completely flipped out and has spent the last 48hrs threatening me through messages, texts and Facebook. I am actually scared she will physically assault me, she came to my home and tried to beat down my door! She threatened to damage property and so I went in and removed that from the business premises that we are 50/50 tennants on. She told me to take my $%*# and &^$% off and that she wanted the whole lease to herself, which I was fine with but now, in the hard light of the next day she has changed her mind and is now telling our Landlord that no, she will not sign anything to remove me from the lease.

She has removed me from the Facebook page that I created and maintained, all the photos, logos and even the name is my creation but of course none of that is in writing. So my problems are a little intense as this is obviously how I put food on my table. I can't message my clients, she is slandering me on this page and I can't do anything about it!

I am afraid for my safety and have lodged a Peace and Good Behaviour Order against her and we have a court date set for June 4th. I am also afraid for my clients if I go back there.... How can I get off the lease!!!!? I surely cannot be forced to work in the same environment as her? Oh and she has locked me out too, changed the locks. The Real Estate Agent says she can't stop her as long as they get copies of the keys, so I am on the Lease but I can't stop her changing the locks!!! What the hell....

Thank you, hoping someone can help me.

If you are in fear for your own safety you must go to the police right away and tell them you fear for your own safety. Take whatever evidence you have.

I expect the police will talk to this person and if they also believe you may be in danger they may apply for an AVO.

Do not respond to anything she send to you or any posts she makes about you.

Facebook is not the place for business matters to be discussed.

I am NOT a lawyer. Anything said is NOT legal advice.

Please post your legal questions in a forum rather than sending a PM. Thanks.
