hi, i recieved two fines in the mail, one for having my feet on the seat and the other for not having my consession card with me. on my learners permit (the proof of ID i gave the inspector), my name is given as 'XXXXX E XXXXX' however on the tickets recieved in the mail the name is 'XXXX XXXX' without a middle initial. is there any case for me to not have to pay the fines?

No unfortunately not. Just because they did not use your middle name/initial on the tickets is no grounds to not pay, and does not make the ticket invalid. For example Johnny B. GOODE is the same as Johnny GOODE. You also produced your licence which verified your identity, so for argument sacks even if they spelt your details incorrect etc., it is just a typo, easily correctable and no grounds to contest anything on.
