To get good responses remember;
Your state is important. The best responses come from a couple of qualified posters in NSW and QLD with others less represented. State law, regulations and police practices vary from state to state.
Timings of events are important. More importantly is that you follow up your own legal issues promptly.
Outline your points in bullet point. All respondents are voluntary - no one will read a lengthy post thoroughly.
Do some preliminary research - so many questions are repeats. Google is your friend and will help you refine your own question to clarify your issue.
If confronted by the police remember you have the right to silence. It's your mouth. Remember that the police can lie and will distort the truth to get conviction. They are not your lawyer and you should not take advice from them without double checking it.
Finally - tell us the outcome if you can. It helps posters understand where they have helped or not.
PS - a lot of posters don't like doing your homework.

Not legal advice. Personal opinion only. Seek legal advice from qualified personnel only.

Thanks AoD, I'll add it also helps if questions are posted in the correct forum, please read the description about what each forum is for. Posts in the correct forum are more likely to get the appropriate answer.
Also please do not tack your question onto the end of another thread, start your own thread for your own question.
I am NOT a lawyer. Anything said is NOT legal advice.
Please post your legal questions in a forum rather than sending a PM. Thanks.
